This used to be a watering pond out in the middle of a horse pasture. |
The creek was created by pumping water out of the pond; it has the practical purpose of keeping the pond water from stagnating. |
Looking up the creek, you can see the waterfall that feeds it. |
A close-up of the waterfall. Water pumped from the pond comes out right behind these rocks. |
Waterlillies were planted in the basin of the waterfall. I think this is my favorite of all the pictures I have taken. |
A stone bench behind the pond. |
The path along the right side of the pond. |
Looking the other way along the path. |
Behind and to the right of the pond is a dry creek. |
Some big stone used for accents. |
The stone monument. |
Close-up of some of the stone work on the house itself. This is the outside of a fireplace. |
Stone facing that is on some of the exterior walls. |
